Aldo Vanucci - what would i do pt.1 (feat. Jennifer Mcateer)

Everyone who knows hip hop already knows this beat.  I love finding out the songs that artists sample shit from.  A really dope track from Aldo Vanucci.

Drake ft. Lil Wayne "The Motto" Bay Area Remix (A-1)

So I just saw the video for the original song and i must say it is exceptionally gay.  Tyga wearing a dodger jersey in Sf cmon bro thats some dumbass bitch shit.  Anyway,  this version is way better no gay ass tyga drake or lil wayne.

Ess Vee – Get Right To It

Dope lyrics + Dope Beat = Amazing.  Its a simple formula but people now a days are fucking dumb.  I dont know much about this dude but judging by this track this guy is some fire.  I dont know who produces his beats but its pretty dope.  Props to Ess Vee

Luckyiam - Memory loss

Dope track from Luckyiam of the living legends.  The whole album is pretty dope you guys should check it out.

Green Street - Daydreams

Green Street and Donwill coming with the really really dope track.  Being a struggling college student I guess I can relate a lot to what they talk about.  Never really heard about these guys but will mos def look more into them.  Mad respect to all the people out there on their school grind.

Pac Div – Top Down f. Skeme & Casey Veggies

Pac Div hailing out of El Gay.  Everybody knows I hate LA but gotta give props to the Pacific Division.  As always, pac div comes with the dope bass heavy beats.  This song is a certified slap and Cassey Veggies kills his verse.

Mobb Deep - Trife Life

It's just another day drownin my troubles with a forty
That's when I got the call from this brownskin shorty
She asked me where's my crew at? Said we could do whatever
She got her crew too, and said that we should get together
I said, "Aight -- just call me back in a hour
so I can take a shower and gather up the manpower"
Then I hung up the horn
And I thought to myself that it might be on

You gotta love it

Smooth Jazz Allstars - Day Dreaming

Ive been on that smooth jazz hype lately. I dont know what it is but just the smooth calming beat and all the instruments make this track perfect.  I think its crazy how people put a bunch of instruments together to make one crazy track

Childish Gambino -You see me

Never really cared for or really even listened to CG before some of my homies introduced me to him.  Ive heard hes the new school busta and I can see why people think that by listening to this song.  The beat goes!!  "Asian girls everywhere.. UCLA"

Slum Village - Fall in Love (Instrumental)

The one and only J dilla.  there were never be a producer as universal or as influential as J dilla.  Look up how many different genres have different remixes of this song.  Whatever you listen to you have to find a place in your hear for a song like this.  Rest in Peace J dilla you and your amazing music will never be forgotten.

L.E.$. - The Flyest

Im not really sure who this guy is or where he came from but I am really diggin this track.  Both the lyrics and the beat go really well with each other.  I just wish this song was a bit longer.

L.E.$ | The Flyest [Music Video] Boss Hogg Outlawz from David Stunts on Vimeo.

Remy Banks - More Clouds f. Domo Genesis (prod. Hannibal King)

Really diggin the nice simple disco type beat.  Both Remy and Domo kill their verses.  Whenever I hear a new song from Domo he always seems to get better and better.  I think hes becoming the premier member of odd future.  Props to Domo, Remy, and Hannibal King for yet another song about smokin trees haha

Hannibal King - Villains feat. Bub Styles

Couldnt find a picture for Hannibal king but i guess this picture will do. I dont know much about any of these guys but I do know that Hannibal King is the producer..  Like always im lovin the old school type vibe. The beat reminds me of some old school NYC shit.  Im gonna look more into this guy and see if he has any other songs.  "Known as an outlaw cuz im a villain"....

Bonus (Hannibal King- Summer in the city)

Rapper Big Pooh - Heart Of The City

Never heard of this guy before and I honestly think hes name is kinda rap but im not the kind to judge a mc by his name..  With that said this is a really dope track.  I love how he talks about living in a city.  Spending two years living in san francisco really made me fall in love with the city type vibe.  Good lyrics and real smooth beat how can you hate this song?

Slick Rick - Need Some Bad (Prod. by DJ Premier)

Two legends coming together to create a dope track.  What havent I said that needs to be said about pete rock.  Dude is just a mad genius.  I love slick ricks funky old school type style.  Both of the together go pretty well with each other. Enjoii

The Chi-lites "Have you seen her"

This a first on this blog.. posting a nice classic oldie. What can i say about this track. I remember riding in the car with my dad listening to this kind of shit. At the time, I didnt really care for music like this. Now its a whole different story. Before this blog I loved hip hop in every aspect and this blog kind of made me love it even more. Its made me appreciate other genres such as jazz and old r&b tracks that have had a huge influence on what hip hop is today. Whether it be oldies like these or old school jazz tracks its all fucking so good. Music back then was so soulful and just amazing. The intro to this song is so fucking sick. songs like this are like wine.. the older the better.

Bonus  (Kool & the Gang - Get Down On It)

Questlove - "Goodbye Isaac"

Quest love from the roots.  Its amazing how talented this guy really is.  Quest is like a master of beats and drums without him the roots would not be the same.  Im really diggin this smooth mellow beat by quest and all the small things in this song.  The way he slows it down a bit and starts it back up again is fucking genius.  Props to quest for this dope track

Rashad & Confidence - Understand

"If you dont understand how to make a classic lp, then you dont really understand what it takes to MC."  Rashad and Confidence coming with the dope track.  The message of the whole song is what makes this song so special to me.  What happened to the artist that put their heart and soul into their music.  The game today is just full of watered down tracks that are wack as fuck.  Props to all the artist out there putting their blood sweat and tears into making good music.

A Tribe Called Quest - Bonita Applebum

What more can I say about a tribe called quest?  I just finished watching the ATCQ documentary and it was really dope and if you love tribe I recommend watching it.  Its sad that a group as influential and ground breaking as ATCQ had to come to an end.  At the end of the day they will forever go down as one of the best rap groups to ever exist.  Mad respect to the whole tribe called quest crew and the whole native tongue posse.

Souls Of Mischief - Tour Stories

The mighty souls of mischief crew hailing out of Oakland California.  These dudes do not need a introduction.  If you don't know these guys you obviously are not true hip hop fans.
