Da Wolfpack - Definition

This beat sounds so familiar but I don't remember who exactly samples this beat. Regardless this is a really dope track. The beat in itself is simply mesmerizing. Combine it with the typical east coast flow and you got a great track. On a side note, Omar Epps got some skills.. who would have though?

Damu The Fudgemunk - Hole Up ft. Raw Poetic

A nice refreshing track from Damu and Raw Poetic. This song brings you back to the golden ages of hip hop. Just the beat alone has that old school type vibe. If you love hip hop and its roots this track is perfect for you. As always, Damu comes through.

Legit - The Birds & The Bees (ft. Julian Malone)

A new smooth track from Legit and Julian Malone. You gotta love the beat and how they both flow on this. Definitely one of those tracks you can just sit back and relax to. Enjoy

Pep Love - Hip Hop my Friend

Pep Love of the one and only Hieroglyphics crew comes with a new single for our enjoyment. This one is for all the people out who actually appreciate real hip hop and music. There are a lot of Mc's today that sell their soul and talents for fame and money. I have so much respect for those artists who make real music while staying true to themselves.

ScienZe - No Pressure

ScienZe coming with the dope feel good track. Once again, this is one of those cool summer time jams. Im really loving how he threw in some R&b to add some diversity to the track. Im pretty excited to see this dude at Paid Dues 2012.

Lyrical Terrorists - Payback

I literally spent about thirty minutes looking for pictures or any info on these guys and I found nothing. That is why I put a blank LP as the picture. Regardless, this is still a dope track. Each one of the verses are straight fire. If anyone has any info on these guys let me know. These guys are to dope to be unknown.

JAM D.O.T. - Soul Search'n

Jam D.O.T, also known as Jam Da Original Troopa, comes with that old school rough and rugged flow that is pretty much non existent in MC's today. From the beat to the lyricism, this track is just dope.

Show & AG - Add On

A throw back from Showbiz and AGs classic album Goodfellas. Whenever I listen to Show,Ag, or the whole Diggin in the Crates Crew, they blow my mind with their crazy lyricism. There is not one weak link in the whole crew. All of them come with different style and flow but still manage to come together as a whole and do what they do. Much respect for Show, AG, and the whole DITC crew.

The CounterParts - What We Do

The Counterparts reppin the whole West Coast from the BAY to LA. First things first, I gotta give props to whoever produced this beat. I'm really diggin the funky soulful beat combined with smooth chill lyricism. Props to The CounterParts for this track.

OTAYO DUBB - DIPPIN' SLOW feat. BALANCE

Otayo Dubb and Balance reppin the bay with the smooth summertime jam. I know its only February but it feels like summer is right around the corner. You already know this song is gonna be on repeat when those cool summer nights come around. Enjoy

Talib Kweli - Soon The New Day Ft. Norah Jones

A little throwback for all you Talib Kweli fans.  In my opinion, he is one of the most underrated Mc's in the game.  When people mention Blackstar most automatically think about Mos Def.  Mos Def is dope but there is no Blackstar without Talib.  His flow and style are one of a kind and he consistently comes through with dope tracks and verses.

Emanon - The Words

Emanon (Aloe Bacc and Dj Exile) come through with the smooth track.  The beat is absolutely amazing.  I have much respect for artists that incorporate different genres and instruments into their songs.  Props to Aloe Blacc and Dj Exile for this one.

Abstract Ninjaa X Konkwest - Have A Nice Dave FT. Dceased

Found these dudes listening to Chuuwee's Watch the Throne album.  Abstract Ninjaa, Konkwest, and Dceased all come with different unique styles and flows.  Combine that with the smooth soulful beat and you got one dope track.

Prometheus Brown & Bambu (The Bar) - "Lookin' Up"

Shout out to the homie Justin, who introduced me to this song.  Believe it or not hes actually in the music video.  Regardless this is a really dope track.  If you don't know Prometheus Brown and Bambu, they are real people rapping about real things.  They are a last of a dieing breed in the game today.  Much respect for these two; show them some love

DJ EFN - Thanksgiving (Ft. Kendrick Lamar, ¡MAYDAY!, & Blood Type)

Kendrick Lamar does it again.  DJ EFN comes through with the all star lineup to create this dope track.  Besides Kendrick Lamar, I'm not to familiar with any of these guys but after hearing these guys flow on this track that will definitely change. Enjoy

Ev4n Holt -- Streets Keep Callin

I've said it once and I will say it again, there will be many artists who go over classic tracks and, although they might be dope, the original track will always be better.  With that said, Evan Holt did a great job going over Mobb Deep's "Realest".  Keep a look out for this guy, he is currently unsigned but this guy will be doin big things.

Ace Hood - Dreamer

I'm still uncertain about what sample he used for the beat but it is absolutely perfect.  Ace Hood does a great job combining his rough rugged flow with the smooth calming beat.  Overall, this is a really dope track.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

The LOX, Ghostface Killah & Raekwon - Wu Block

Here's one for all you real old school hip hop junkies out there.  I don't have to say much about these dudes, all of their accomplishments and dope tracks they've come out with speak for themselves.  Check out Ghostface and Sheek Louches new mix tape Wu-Block, it will not disappoint.

Outkast-Aquemini

Yet another classic from the one and only ATLien's.  I love Outkast's diversity; they have the ability to rap over so many different types of beats and they always sound good.  Everyone knows I love  Big Boi but Andre 3k absolutely murders his last verse.  Props to the best rap duo to ever walk this earth.

Feb 21, 2012

Psyclone - Trife

I took a little vacation for a bit but not I'm back at it.  I thought I'd start it off with an old school track for all you hip hop junkies out there.  Overall the track is really dope.  Mike Neal and O. Bee One did a great job in producing this track.  Psyclone just makes it even better with his smooth chill flow.  Enjoy

The full lineup to Paid Dues has finally come out heres a link to the site.  I suggest you guys check it out theres a lot of dope ass people on there.  Mac Lethal is about to be there and I guarantee that this track is going to be dropped during his set.  I remember listening to this song when I was younger and dreaming about seeing this song live and now I get the chance.

Tech N9ne - T9X

I was going through some old CD's I used used to bump back in high school and I came across this song.  Its been so long since I have last heard this song but I can still recite every line in the song.  Everything about this song makes me one to go on a drug induced hiatus.  The slowed down lyrics and Tech N9ne's distorted voice actually make you feel like your trippin on something.  This song will always be a classic in my books.

Feb 15, 2012

Joell Ortiz - Been There Done That

A little throw back of Slaughterhouse's Joell Ortiz.  I wasn't to familiar with Joell Ortiz or even Slaughterhouse but that all changed after I saw the Shady 2.0 cypher.  If you haven't seen it I suggest you look it up on Youtube; it is definitely worth watching.

Da Fat Cat Clique - Da Flow

Da Fat Cat Clique coming with a smooth track for our enjoyment.  I really like how they use a smooth jazzy beat but still manage to give it that hardcore hip hop type vibe.  They did a good job combining different musical elements to create one dope track.  Props to Da Fat Cat Clique

Feb 14, 2012

Mountain Brothers - Paperchase

I bet you guys didn't think these dudes were Asian.  Honestly the first time I heard this I could have sworn they were black but after looking them up I just realized they were Asian.  Asians are definitely getting down right now; first Jeremly Lin and now the Mountain Brothers.  In all serious, these dude have some flow and some serious skill.  They are actually one of the first ever Asian-American hip hop groups so these guys definitely deserve some love for holding it down for all the Asian MC's out there.

Masta Ace Incorporated- Eastbound

Masta Ace Incorporated is a crew based out of New York started by the one and only Masta Ace.  I'm really lovin the classic old school type beat and flow they come with.  Whether it be the intricate lyricism or smooth chill beat, this song is pure gold.

Feb 13, 2012

Afu-Ra - Get Your Head Right

I'm not going to lie, when I first heard this beat come on I thought it was a Mac Dre.  Even though it's not Mac Dreezy, it is still a really dope track.  The way he starts off his first verse about having his own country is pretty dope.  Props to Afu-Ra for another smoking tune.

Feb 12, 2012

Damu the Fudgemunk - Streamline feat. Raw Petic

The one and only Damu the Fudgemunk does it again.  Damu and Raw Poetic put their talents together to create a smooth track to sway to.  Whenever Damu touches a beat he makes into a masterpiece,  he is probably one of the most overlooked producers in the game right now.  Props to Damu and Raw Poetic for keeping good music alive

Feb 11, 2012

Kris Kasanova - Just Anotha Day

Kris Kasanova did an amazing job with this track.  Its not to often you find a slap with lyrics.  Most songs that slap this hard usually have terrible lyrics.  Kris absolutely murders this track.  Turn up the bass and bump this track till your speakers blow.

Black Moon - High Times feat. Sean Price,Starang Wondah, and Top Dog

Everyone has their set playlist of smoking tracks.  Whether it be some classic Bone Thugs, Devin the Dude, or some other trippy drug shit,  everyone has that one favorite song they play when they smoke.  Black Moon, Sean Price,Starang Wondah, and Top Dog do a great job making the perfect joint to smoke that perfect joint to.  All my pot heads out there light one up to this song.

Dolla - Heartbreak Collision

My homie introduced me to this song today in his car and I thought it was a really sick track.  Dolla came correct on this track.  I'm absolutely lovin the whole R&B t pain type vibe with the dope lyrics.  Its to bad a talent like this had his life ended short.  RIP Dolla.

Mobb Deep - Eye for an Eye feat. Nas and Raekwon

If you know me and actually hang out with me you would know that Mobb Deep is one of my favorite duos of all time.  Havoc and Prodigy will go down as two of the best MC's to come out of New York.  Individually they are still good but as a whole they are one of a kind.  Mobb Deep, Nas, and Raekwon completely murder this track, I come to expect that when listening to living legends.  Props to Mobb Deep for paving the road for MC's today.

Yung Nate- Feelings

Yung Nate reppin Harlem New York comes with the dope chill track.  I haven't heard much from this guy but after hearing this song he is definitely on my radar now.  Check out his album "Meant to be Broken" it will not disappoint.

Sadat X - It Go's Down Ones Again

Bringing it back with some Sadat X of the Brand Nubian crew.  No matter what kind of rap style you like you have to appreciate the stype and flow of Sadat X.  I really enjoy listening to artists who are original and one of a kind.  Props to Bird Productions for this beat,  it is the perfect compliment to the great lyricism of Sadat.

Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - Boo Boo Heads

A little Del for all you Hiero fans out there.  This is Del at his best; the unique voice, punchlines, and flow make Del one of the best MC's to come out of the bay.  In my opinion he is a very under rated MC.  Props to Del and the whole Hieroglyphics crew; real music for real hip hop fans out there.

DTMD - Raw (feat. Godly MC, Kev Brown)

DTMD (Dunc & Toine Makin' Dollas) come with the smooth chillin track.  Im really into that rough raw style type of hip hop but it's nice changing it up with a track like this.  This is one of those track you just nod your head to.  Much respect to DTMD check out their debut album Makin Dollas.

Feb 8, 2012

Rocky Rivera ft. Davinci - SF CITY RETROSPECT

Rocky Rivera and Davinci come with the cool funky track.  I don't see many females really doing anything in the game right now so its nice to see Rocky blow up.  She is definitely doing it right for the bay.  Props to Rocky Rivera.

Fonz-E Mak - Breeze Owes Me Cash

Fonz-E Mak comes correct with this chill dope track.  Check out his very first mixtape "The 621 Theory" show an up and coming artist some love.

Feb 7, 2012

All City - " Basic Training"

I absolutely love the piano in the background.  Latief really came correct on the beat.  Overall, everything about this song is dope.  All City come with that old school type hip hop vibe.

Add-2 - "Going, Going, Gone" feat. Deejay Juice (prod. 9th Wonder)

Its been a hectic February and I haven't been posting stuff but I'm back to it.  Here is a dope track by Add-2 produced by the one and only 9th wonder.  As most of you know if 9th wonder produces the beat, its going to be a sick track.  Anyway, Add-2 comes with the dope lyricism over the chill feel good beat.  Overall a really nice track. Enjoy

Bob Marley -Jammin

Bob Marley will go down as one of the most influential musicians to ever walk the earth.  Its so sad someone so talented had to lose his life at such a young age.  His legacy will forever be remembered and his songs will forever be played.  Happy Birthday to Bob Marley the original ganja smoker.  Everyone roll up some lambs bread and lets celebrate the birthday of a icon.

Pac Div - Posted

The Pacific Division does it again with their track "Poster" off their album The Div.  One of the main reasons why I like this song is because of the beat.  The hard thumping bass definitely makes this song that much better.  This song can only be played at a very high volume.

A.G. & Diamond D - Put It In Your System

Another one from the Diggin in the Crates Crew.  A.G and Diamond D come with that typical new york flow and style that I love.  Enjoy
