Sheek Louch & Ghostface Killah - Batman

This album needs to drop already. At this point, every track they drop is basically just teasing me. What can you really say about Ghostface and Sheek Louch that hasn't really been said before. They are both pioneers in hip hop and have been doing this since before I was born. Much respect for these two legends in the game, I can not wait till they drop their album "Wu-Block".

The Doppelgangaz - Schemes

I have to admit, the Doppelgangaz are really doing it right now. Every track they drop never disappoints. Whether its the smooth chill beat, or the dope flow and lyricism these dudes really know how to make dope tracks. Show some support and check out their new mixtape "Beats for Brothels, Vol. 2"

Joey BADA$$ x Capital STEEZ - "Survival Tactics"

Joey BADA$$, the seventeen year old phenom from Brooklyn, comes through with the video for his hit song "Surival Tactics" featuring Captial STEEZ. These two kids definitely bring that flow and style that any hip hop junkie would enjoy. Lyrical Hip Hop is slowly dieing but after hearing this kid I now see some light at the end of the tunnel. He can improve in some aspects but then again, this kid is only seventeen, we will definitely be hearing more from this kid in the near future.

Boaz - Brainstorm

When I first heard this track, I thought it sounded like some old school Wiz. It turns out this is actually Wiz's beat off his new album "Taylor Allderdice". Boaz definitely does this track justice, he brings dope lyricism to an already smooth beat. This has the vibe and feel of one of those classic smoking joints that everyone loves.

O.C. - War Games (ft.Organized Konfusion)

O.C. and Organized Konfusion absolutely murder this track. Every aspect of this song is on point and is a perfect embodiment of classic 90's east coast hip hop. O.C of the Diggin in the Crates Crew never ceases to amaze me with his superior lyricism.  Having Organized Konfusion on this track makes it that much better. This is definitely going to be on my playlist for these upcoming weeks.

Flow Nice Foundation - So Happy

Shout out to my homie Josh for introducing me to this track. I don't know much about these guys or where they from but they definitely caught my attention the first 5 seconds of the song. I don't know what it is but smooth jazzy beats are perfect for hip hop. His flow and style compliments the beat perfectly, and it makes this song that much better. If you listen to the lyrics, these dudes are actually really funny they pretty much go against school, work, and all the other realities of life. Roll one up this one and just relax.

sadat x - the lump lump

I had to post this classic Sadat. Its been so long since I've heard this track; its only right it makes its way to my blog. The beat, vocals, and lyrics are all on point and go well with each other. I don't know who sings the chorus or where Sadat sampled it from but it compliments the beat perfectly. Gotta love 90's hip hop nothing will ever compare

Jerreau - Dreams BankReau Can Buy

Jerreau of Fly Union comes with the smooth chill track. This is definitely one of those songs you can just smoke and chill out. I cant really pin point who he sounds like right now but he sounds so familiar. Regardless, this is a dope song lyrically he isn't bad either. Enjoy

Add-2 - Cotton Fields

With all this controversy about Treyvon Martin, its kind of nice hearing a song that talks about race in the United States. Add-2 takes an intellectual approach explaining how and why this society is still racist. Hearing a song like this is really refreshing to hear especially when the game is just diluted by MC's rapping about money, hoes, and partying. Much love and Much respect for Add-2 this is a real track with real meaning behind it. Enjoy

Keith Murray - Radio

A little throw back Keith Murray for all you hip hop junkies out there. There are so many good artists and MC's that came up during the 90's and I think that Keith Murray is often lost in that mix. Lyrically he is just as talented as every other MC during his time. Much love for Keith Murray for coming out with tracks like this.

Damu The Fudgemunk - Soul Brother # 3

This track is simply amazing. Damu will always be one of my favorite producers just because of his diversity and his ability to turn anything into a dope beat. I am definitely lovin the jazzy type feel this song has. Enjoy

Tanya Morgan - Rock The Bells

Tanya Morgan consists of Mc's Donwill and Ilyas, two relatively unknown artists. They come through with a chill track with that old school vibe and sound. Check out their new album "You and What Army".

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Thuggin'

Gangsta Gibbs and the legend Madlib coming with the dope track. You can't go wrong with a Madlib beat everything he touches turns into gold. What more can I say about Freddie Gibbs, in my opinion hes one of the best MC's in the game right now but doesn't get the attention or as much recognition as others. Enjoy

Sheek Louch & Ghostface Killah - Flash Back

I think everyone can agree that this album needs to be dropped soon. Ghostface and Sheek have been dropping single after single off their highly anticipated new album "Wu Block". Every track I've heard so far has not disappointed.

Redman - Can't Wait

No matter who you are you have to agree that hip hop back now a days will not ever compare to classics like these. Redman brings that his rough and rugged lyricism to a dark New York style beat. I love Redman for his passion and commitment to hip hop, he always brings the same attitude and demeanor on each and every track and it shows in a positive way.

The Doppelgangaz - Vibes

I remember listening to these dudes a while back but I haven't heard anything since. The beat to this song is on point; it has the old school type style to it. As I am typing I am downloading their album "The New Beginning" once I listen to it ill post some up but until then, enjoy this one.

MURS - GODS GONE CRAZY

Murs drops a single off his album "YUMIKO: CURSE OF THE MERCH GIRL". As always Murs comes with the chill smooth beat. How can you really go wrong with a Murs track. His up and coming album is dropping on Wednesday 3/22.

Odd Future - "Oldie"

I still remember hearing OF and tyler before everybody was on their jock. This song is absolutely amazing and the video just show how much they have grown as artists. All of them mike G , Domo, HB, Left Brain, Tyler, and Frank Ocean have all improved and have all come to their own. Much respect for these guys. They dont let the money and fame get to their head. I think the best part is how they are exactly the same as they were before the game. Dope shit OF you guys never cease to amaze

Dead Prez - Hip Hop

Its going down at Skyline College out in San Bruno this Saturday. Guerilla Union is coming back with their concert Rock The School Bells featuring Dead Prez, Deep Foundation, and Rocky Rivera. Seeing this live will definitely be worth the 15 dollar cover charge.

Action Bronson & Party Supplies - Double Breasted

Its officially my 900th post so I wanted to make this post a good one. Action Bronson and Party Supplies just dropped their new mix tape Blue Chips and I must say Action's style and flow are identical to Wu Tangs, Ghostface Killah. Supreme Clientele is one of my favorite albums of all time; its nice and refreshing hearing someone that sounds so similar to him. I strongly suggest downloading their new mix tape it will not disappoint.

Kev Turner - The Breaks

I was on 2dopeboyz the other day and I found a little something by this dude. I've never heard of Kev Turner but I am really diggin his flow on this track. He kind of brings back that classic hip hop style that everyone misses. Check out his new album " The Definition" it will not disappoint

Blackalicious - Alphabet Aerobics

I was in awe the first time I heard this. If you didn't pick it up, Gift to Gab ( MC of Blackalicious), spits a bar with words starting with the letters in the alphabet. Its really amazing that someone could do this. They definitely killed this track.

Stephen Marley feat. Damian Marley & Buju Banton - Jah Army

This song is to fucking dope. I've always been a fan of reggae, I just go through phases and this song pretty much sparked my interest in reggae again. The beat itself is already dope but the Marley brother and Buju come with the vocals that absolutely murder it. Much respect

Dregs One | the Inspiration ft. Patience and Telli Prego

Dregs one, Patience, and Telli Prego reppin San Francisco with this dope chill track. My boy Luis first introduced me to this track and I must say its definitely a slapper. I'm lovin the old school type flow and beat, I think this is definitely one of those San Francisco Summer tracks. Much love for the best city in the world San Francisco and the whole bay.

SchoolBoy Q - Blessed (feat. Kendrick Lamar)

School Boy Q and Kendrick Lamar of Black Hippy definitely did this song proper. Surprisingly, this song has a pretty good positive message that is pretty rare in songs now a days. Regardless of the message of the song, Kendrick and Q absolutely murder this track. Both of them have completely different flows and style but they still manage to make this dope track. These dudes never cease to amaze me.

Tayyib Ali -- Dear Lord (Prod by Jahil)

This dude is definitely comin up, whenever I hear new shit from this guy it gets better and better. Jahlil comes with that mellow beat that works perfectly with Tayyib Ali's lyrics. Its a nice change of pace listening to a track like this. Watch out for this guy, him and Logic are gonna be doing big things soon.

Smif-N-Wessun - Nothing Move But The Money

Tek and Steele comin with that real boom bap type beat and style. Smif-n-Wessun and the whole Boot Camp Click always come correct with their classic New York style and flow. Enjoy

The Beatnuts - Props Over Here (Emelvi Remix)

Emelvi comes through with the dope remix of the Beatnuts track "Props Over Here". Its always a good song when you combine a smooth jazzy beat with nice lyricism. This is definitely one of those tracks to sit back and chill to. Enjoy

Ill Biskits - Illustrations

Its always refreshing listening to old school artists that you have never heard of before. It still amazes me how many skilled artists are left unknown out there. We live in a era where hip hop like this is pretty much non existent and artists that produce tracks like this are no where to be found. 90's hip hop is still keeping hip hop alive and well.

Mar 13, 2012

Audio Push - Bad Woa

I'm not sure where these guys are from but judging from the beat they are probably from Cali; possibly even the bay. Regardless this song a one of those party slaps that should only be played at a high volume. A typical bay type of beat that you can go dumb to.

Mar 12, 2012

Shyheim - On And On

The first time I saw this video I had to ask myself how old this kid was. Regardless Shyheim comes with a dope flow that any hip hop lover would enjoy. This dude may be young but he definitely come hard on this track.

Mar 11, 2012

Musiq Soulchild- Don't Change

Whether you like slow jams or not, you gotta admit that Musiq is truly a talented artist. I'd say this song has a lot of deeper meaning for me so it's nice taking a step back from all the stress and bullshit in life to put everything in perspective. Everyone takes people for granted but its important to always remember how much loved ones mean to you. Props to Musiq Soulchild and a big special shout out to all my loved ones and especially for my girlfriend who has been there for me through everything. I don't know what I would do without you.

Special Ed - Lyrics (Buckwild Remix)

I had to come back and post another dope remix done by Buckwild of the Diggin in the Crates Crew. Buckwild has so much diversity and so much creativity when it comes to his beats. He definitely comes with that dark evil type feel in this track and it compliments Special Ed perfectly.

Beastie Boys - Get It Together (Buckwild Remix) Ft. Q-Tip

What more can I say about these guys? The Beastie Boys by themselves are epic but throw in Q-tip and Buckwild on the beat and you got one hell of a combo. All of these guys will go down in hip hop history. I gotta give it to Buckwild; all his beats are sick as fuck I definitely think he is one of the most underrated producers of the 90's. Enjoy

Mike Zoot - Spread Love Ft. Labba (Ayatollah Remix)

If your listening to this it is necessary that you roll one up and spark it up. I'm really diggin the whole Reggae type beat mixed with the dope lyricism. this one is going straight to the "Weed Playlist" on my Ipod.

Mar 9, 2012

Torae - For The Record

Torae coming with the smooth chill track. Whats not to like about this song? Dope lyrics plus a dope beat sounds like a recipe for a track worth listening to. I feel like I haven't heard a song come out lately with that classic hip hop sound until now. Much respect.

Jay Z - Big Pimpin

This song really brings back memories. I remember hearing this song back in elementary school and reciting every Jay Z verse. This is definitely one of his all time classics. Big Pimpin Baby

Biggie Smalls - Warning

Today 15 years ago the world lost a great life; Notorious Big will go down as one of the best Mc's to ever walk this earth. As always Biggie comes with the crazy flow and punchlines that would knock your momma out. This is probably one of my favorite songs by him. He might be gone but his music will be remembered for years and years to come. Rest in paradise Biggie, we all miss you down here.

Mar 8, 2012

Danny Ocean - Legit

Danny Ocean come with the smooth soulful track that anybody can vibe to. The beat within itself is amazing, add that hip hop vibe to it and you got a great track. Props to Danny Ocean for this one

DJ Honda featuring Redman - Dat's My Word

Redman in my opinion is one of the most underrated MC's in the game. No matter how you look at it his style and flow is one of a kind and no other MC will ever flow like him again.

Hodgy Beats - Higashi Loves You

New track off of Hodgy Beats "Untitled EP". Every time this guy comes out with a new mixtape you can hear the improvement in his game. The whole album in general is dope and is definitely worth a download. Much respect to the Off Future crew for doing what they do best and not letting anybody or anything change what they love to do.

Mar 6, 2012

The Roots - Distortion to Static

The Roots will go down as one of the most diverse hip hop groups to ever exist. No matter what type of hip hop style you like you have to love and respect The Roots. There will never be a group like this again, there are just so many talented people in this group and it is just amazing the music they make when they all put their talents together. Much respect for the Roots, they are truly the last of a dieing breed.

Jon Connor - Broken Mirrors

Jon Connor does it again with a new track off his album "Broken Mirrors". Jon Connor is definitely an up and coming MC. Keep a look out for this guy hes been consistently putting out dope tracks.

Philosophy Cole - Death Becomes Us

When I first heard this dude his flow and voice kind of reminded me of Mos Def. Just like Mos , Philosophy Cole ( also known as Warpath) brings the dope lyricism to a smooth chill track. Props to Philosophy Cole for this one.

King Just - No Flow On The Rodeo

When it comes to style, flow, or lyricism just in general; nothing compares to East Coast hip hop. King Just comes with that typical New York flow that is non existent today. The beat within itself is so simple but it is simply perfect for this song.
